Storm Front Kyanite Necklace

There is a particular kind of beauty in the sky just before the storm arrives.
Storm Front is built around a striking piece of natural kyanite, its shifting blue-grey surface reminiscent of clouds gathering along a distant horizon. Natural variations move through the stone like weather, from cool slate and smoky blue to flashes of softer light.
Hand forged in sterling silver, the setting was created as part of the landscape rather than simply a frame for the stone. The sculpted silver rises above the kyanite like a distant ridgeline beneath a heavy sky, while three hand-formed drops fall below, capturing that suspended moment when the storm finally begins to break.

The silver has been darkened and textured to give the piece depth and an elemental, weathered quality. Nothing about Storm Front is perfectly symmetrical or polished into submission. The marks of the hand remain, allowing the metal and stone to feel as though they belong to the same rugged landscape.
