First Frost Dendritic Agate Necklace

There is a quietness that comes with the first frost, when the landscape seems to soften overnight.

First Frost is built around a natural dendritic agate whose delicate black inclusions create a tiny landscape within the stone. Branch-like markings rise through soft grey and milky white, resembling winter grasses, distant trees and frost settling along the ground.
Hand forged in sterling silver, the setting is intentionally simple, allowing the natural imagery within the agate to remain the focus. Three small openings along the bottom edge add an understated detail and a bit of lightness to the silver without competing with the stone.

A wide, hand-formed bail completes the pendant and allows it to move easily along its sterling silver chain. The silver is a soft matte finish, keeping the overall piece quiet, organic and easy to wear. 18 inch matte plated chain.
